Details of traffic counts made on Crawford Road, Kilbirnie

KEA made this Official Information request to Wellington City Council

Response to this request is long overdue. By law Wellington City Council should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

From: KEA

Dear Wellington City Council,

Please provide details of traffic counts that have been made on Crawford Road in Kilbirnie. I'd like to see the number (and type of traffic if available) counted, by day, time of day, for all counts made since January 2014.

Many thanks

Yours faithfully,

Katharine Amos

Dear BUS: Assurance,

Thank you for this information. Please supply the raw data behind this as it is not useful to me at this level of summarisation.

Please explain why only southbound traffic data is provided for Crawford Road, when this is a two way street and the morning rush hour traffic is northbound (and uphill).

Please also supply the data collected in January 2018 at the pedestrian crossing on Crawford Road close to (upper) Duncan Terrace.

Many thanks

Yours sincerely,

Katharine Amos

Dear BUS: Assurance,

Please supply the data requested in my last update to clarify the specific data that I am after. It is now exactly 20 working days since I made this clarification and the data must be supplied within this period.

It is not satisfactory to me whatsoever that you have updated the status of my request to 'Partially complete' today. You have not answered my questions and I need you to attend to this as a matter of urgency.

Yours sincerely,

Kate Amos

Hello Katharine,

Thank you for contacting us again.

This request was for 'details of traffic counts that have been made on Crawford Road in Kilbirnie.... the number (and type of traffic if available) counted, by day, for all counts made since January 2014'

In our previous response, we advised of the Council webpage on which you could find information related to the Eastern Suburbs Cycleway project, and in particular the document in which information on traffic counts are recorded. I refer you back to that document - https://www.transportprojects.org.nz/ass... - as that is where you will find the traffic count information.

Incidentally, the Council does not have the ability to alter the status of your request via the fyi.org.nz website. That can only be done by yourself or the website.

Kind regards

Chris

Dear BUS: Assurance,

Thank you for your response. The data I am looking for was not included in the data on the website and yet I know it exists.

Please response to my subsequent request made on 31 May, as follows:
"Please supply the raw data behind this as it is not useful to me at this level of summarisation.

Please explain why only southbound traffic data is provided for Crawford Road, when this is a two way street and the morning rush hour traffic is northbound (and uphill).

Please also supply the data collected in January 2018 at the pedestrian crossing on Crawford Road close to (upper) Duncan Terrace."

This data was requested 20 working days ago and is now due.

The status of this request was changed earlier today and not by me. Does this happen automatically? Either way and in any case, I have not received the information I requested nor a response to my subsequent request and I still need this information.

Many thanks

Yours sincerely,

Katharine Amos

Hello Katharine,

Thank you for the further detail. I'm sorry, but I had not seen your 31 May request until now.

I will ask the team to provide this.

With regard to the status on the website, you will need to contact the site itself to understand the status matter.

Kind regards

Chris
