Dear Wellington City Council,
I would be grateful if you could supply the following information relating to the Island Bay Cycle Way Project. Please consider this as an Official Information Request under the Official Information Act.
1. Original project plan (with design) and budget. Please include the success criteria for the project, and its objectives.
2. Initial 'as built' design and full cost of implementation, including planning and consultation costs (contractor details not required, just the amounts)
3. Evaluation of project against the original success criteria and objectives at the time of the implementation.
4. Cost of subsequent design changes which have been completed and cost of their implementation, including budget set for these at the outset and any budget extensions granted
5. Budget (including contingency and cost estimates produced (contractor details not required, just the amounts) for further changes now planned and time-frame for implementation
Time is of the essence and I need this information as soon as possible and certainly within the 20 day statutory timeframe.

Dear Ms Amos,
Thank you for your emails received on 8 May 2018 and 1 June 2018 respectively regarding the Island Bay Cycleway.
I can advise the project is currently in the Detailed Business Case phase through which we are seeking options for design.
The current time line is as follows:
• Detailed design March - May 2018
• Procurement June 2018
• Pre-implementation July – September 2018
• Construction October 2018 – October 2019
Costs:
The estimated and approved costs for The Parade still stand at $6,1m as per the Council's Long Term Plan. There has been no change to this figure.
