Thank you for your email dated 3 December 2025, to Te Kaunihera o Pôneke |
Wellington City Council (the Council) requesting the following
information:

 

o …Therefore, I request, from 1 January 2020 to date:

 1. A list of all contracts entered into by the Creative Capital Te
Kaunihere o Pôneke.
 2. the time period the contract covers, ie providing a service for 3
months, 6 months, 1 year or 10 years.
 3. the total cost of each contract? especially if it is more than
50,000 dollars per annum.
 4. which ELT member signed out which contract, if it went to the
Chief Executive, or it went to a Council vote given the contracts
are seemingly for a lot of money.

Once a report is run in the finance/procurement team for that list, could
it please be provided as an excel spreadsheet. From the results of this
process, I will then request fuller contract details

 

Your request as currently framed will be very difficult to meet without
substantial collation or research. During the period in which you have
requested information, a new contract management software was adopted by
the Council, and therefore not all contracts are readily available to be
pulled from the system in the manner which you have requested.
Additionally, the Creative Capital team deals with multiple contracts and
funding, some of which are for grants.

 

To provide you with a timely response, and in accordance with our
obligations under section 17B of the LGOIMA, we wish to clarify if there
is anything particular you require. If so, the Council recommends refining
your request to a narrower scope of information. Should the request not be
refined, it is likely that the request will be refused pursuant to section
17(f) of the LGOIMA, as the information requested cannot be made available
without substantial collection or research.  We recommend refining the
request to be for the following:

 

o Contracts $50,000 and over

 

To enable us to meet our obligations under the LGOIMA, we would be
grateful for your refinement response as soon as possible, but by no later
than 7 January 2026.
