Thank you for your LGOIMA request 2403056 regarding Decision to live stream. The decision was discussed in the March 2021 Council meeting (copy of minutes below).
Full streaming capabilities began in August 2023 which is stated in the August 2023 Council Meeting Minutes section 7.3.

March 2021 Council Meeting Minutes:
8.2 Recording of Council Minutes
The Report was taken as read and was presented by the Chief Executive, Mr Ben Smit. Mr Smit advised
Council that today’s meetings were being recorded. (Please note that there was an issue with the
recording system and the recording from the Council Public meeting was recorded over later in the
day. Going forward steps will be taken to ensure this does not happen again.)
Elected Members discussed the minute taking process, what is noted in the minutes, recording of the
meeting and live streaming possibilities. Live streaming is in the budget for year four of the LTP.
Recordings of the meetings will be able to be accessed by Elected Members on Stellar Library.
21/61 Resolved Cr Lee / Cr Ngapo
1. That Report No 2021-551741, Recording of Council Minutes, be received.
2. That Council meetings are recorded, and minutes will only contain the information required under
Council’s Standing Orders.
