Thank you for your email of 15 March 2023 for information relating to Cape Brett Walkway and Julian Batchelor. Your request is being considered under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA).

Upon processing your request, there could be information in scope, spanning, from what we know, at least 15 years. In order for us to respond to your request, we would need to search through information that is not easily accessible. For example, physical documents stored in local offices, and old electronic databases that are no longer in use.

Without refining the timeframe for which you are seeking this information, there is potential for your request to be declined pursuant to section 18(f) of the OIA, as the information requested cannot be made available without substantial research or collation.

I suggest you refine the timeframe of the information you are seeking from 1 January 2015 to the date of your request, 15 March 2023.

Could please let me know by 3 April 2023, at the very latest, if you are wishing to refine the timeframe of your request to the above, so we can provide you with a response in accordance with the timeframes set out in the OIA.

Please do let me know if you have any queries.
