Julian Batchelor and property at 147 Rawhiti Rd
Katherine Raue made this Official Information request to Far North District Council
Response to this request is long overdue. By law Far North District Council should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.
From: Katherine Raue
Dear Far North District Council,
This is to confirm the request made on 6 December 2015 for all information held by FNDC regarding the property at 147 Rawhiti Rd and works carried out on that site by Julian Batchelor, including all applications for consents, whether approved or not, all communications, photographs, etc, particularly in regard to the retaining walls, all details of monitoring fees, enforcement fees, etc, all information. This information is required URGENTLY because Mr Batchelor has carried out significant unconsented earthworks and breached bylaws and caused significant and ongoing damage to the surrounding environment. His works amount to gross vandalism.
Wayne Smith and Sam Ameringen of the FNDC have stated that Julian Batchelor said he had 'consulted with' persons who he thought represented the local hapu and iwi - who are these persons FNDC alleges Mr Batchelor alleges he spoke to? Please name them. What exactly does Mr Batchelor allege was discussed?
We further requested all information regarding the recent collapse of the road directly in front of these unconsented works including all photographs and all other information. It was clearly apparent that the unconsented works caused the road to collapse and as ratepayers we expect FNDC to bill Mr Batchelor for the costs of repairing the road.
Yours faithfully,
Katherine Raue
