Kia ora Phillip,
My name is Cameron and I’m a LGOIMA Business Partner at Auckland Transport. I’m responsible for looking into the official information request you made on 10/09/2022 regarding light phasing.
I have been in contact with our BU and can confirm A phasing change was made in July to the Remuera/Broadway intersection to reduce pedestrian delay and to synchronise with the new intersection. The new intersection is not yet active and due to be switched on over the next week or two. So far there was no noticeable impact to traffic from this change.
It is important to note that these changes are done regularly and at the discretion of our traffic signal optimisation engineers. There is no need for reports or reviews as the decisions are made by them and the changes are monitor.
This means there are no written documents as such to provide and hence we will be closing the request under section 17(e) of the LGOIM-act.
