Dear Scott

Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request that was transferred to this Office on 28 June 2021. You requested:

“Further, I would like to request copies of all COVID-19 Response Weekly Reports, dated from the beginning of February to 15 June.”

I have decided under section 15A of the Act to extend the time limit for deciding on your request by an additional 30 working days.

The extension is required because your request necessitates a search through a large quantity of information, and consultations are needed before a decision can be made on your request. Despite the extension, a response will be sent to you as soon as possible.

You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review my decision under section 28(3) of the Act.

Kia ora Scott,

I understand that this response was due today. Unfortunately, given the high tempo of the COVID-19 response since the community outbreak in Auckland last month, the process for this OIA has been delayed.

The Office intends to release documents under this OIA request and these documents are now in the final stages of consultation. I endeavour to provide the OIA response and documents as soon as possible, and I hope within the week.

My apologies for the delay and for any inconvenience caused.

Dear DPMC,

I'm emailing to follow up on your 8 October response to my request of 13 August for copies of CICRIAG and SCPHAG meeting minutes and work programmes.

On the point of the former, you told me that my request was refused on the grounds that the information would "soon be publically available" on a certain page on the Unite Against Covid website. You told me that CICRIAG's work programme as well as the relevent minutes would be published there "in the coming weeks."

More than 6 weeks later, no work programme or minutes have been published on the page you linked to. Are you able to provide me with a release date at this point? If I don't hear back from you I will refer this to the Ombudsman on the grounds that your agency has misused the section 18(d) grounds for refusal.

Yours sincerely,

Scott
