Dear Scott
Official Information Act request relating to Advisory Group meeting minutes
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request received on 13 August
2021. You requested:
"1) Copies of all meeting minutes for the two advisory groups, dated 16 June to 13
August.
2) Copies of the work programmes of the two advisory groups"
On 10 September 2021, the time frame for responding to your request was extended under
section 15A of the Act by 20 working days because consultations were necessary before a
decision could be made on the request. Following this extension, I am now in a position to
respond.
The COVID-19 Independent Continuous Review, Improvement and Advice Group's minutes,
along with its work programme, are currently being processed for release, and will be
published on the Unite Against COVID-19 webpage (covid19.govt.nz/alert-levels-and
updates/independent-advisory-groups/cicriag/) in the coming weeks.
In relation to advice from the Strategic COVID-19 Public Health Advisory Group, I note this
group does not keep minutes. However, its work programme is set through questions from
Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall. Advice in response to these questions can be found at the following
web page: covid 19.govt. nz/alert-levels-and-updates/independent-a.dvisory-groups/scphag/
Where information is or will soon be publicly available, I am refosing your request under
section 18(d) of the Act, which relates to the refusal of requests where information is, or will
soon be, publicly available.
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review my decision under
section 28(3) of the Act.
