Reviews of the Omicron response
Scott made this Official Information request to Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet
The request was successful.
From: Scott
Dear Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet,
I would like to make a request for the following information relating to reviews of the government response to the outbreak of COVID-19 Omicron earlier this year:
ONE: A copy of the “rapid review” completed by the COVID-19 Independent Continuous Review, Improvement and Advice Group and scheduled to be submitted to the COVID-19 response minister by the end of May, as referenced in this document published on the Unite Against COVID-19 website:
https://covid19.govt.nz/assets/Proactive...
“The Group are continuing work on their rapid review of lessons from Omicron to inform the future. This is expected to be delivered to you on 20 May 2022.” (Quote on page 26).
TWO: A copy of the DPMC report scheduled to be submitted to the COVID-19 Chief Executives Board by the end of June which summarised the outcomes of an “Omicron lesson capture workshop” held in May, as referenced in this document published on the Unite Against COVID-19 website:
https://covid19.govt.nz/assets/Proactive...
“An Omicron lesson capture workshop was held on the 25 May. Initial strategic insights will be shared with CEs for their away day on 27 May, with a final report going to CCB at the end of June.” (Quote on page 6).
THREE: A copy of the report referred to as “Lessons from the Omicron Response to date – June 2022” on page 57 of this document released by DPMC (minutes of the 28 June 2022 meeting of CCB), if it is different to the report I asked for in part two:
https://fyi.org.nz/request/17765/respons...
FOUR: A copy of this report or briefing - [DPMC-2021/22-2518]: “Lessons from the Omicron Response to Date” dated 18 July 2022, if it is different from any of the documents I have requested above.
Yours faithfully,
Scott
