The request was successful.
From: Gareth Watkins
Dear Fire and Emergency New Zealand,
Please supply all information you have regarding an incident at Pukeahu Park in central Wellington on Friday night - 22 Nov 2019. Wellington Free Ambulance would have received a 111 emergency call at approximately 19:30, one at 20:28 and another around 20:46 by different members of the public. NZ Police would have received an emergency call at 20:44 ; approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes after the first 111 call was received by Wellington Free Ambulance.
The calls related to a male falling backwards approximately one metre onto concrete and hitting the back of his head. He was bleeding from his head and slipping in and out of consciousness. Emergency response did not occur until 90 minutes after the first 111 call was made. It required 3 members of the public and at least 4 calls to 111 to get attendance at this event.
Please supply all official information relating to this event - including audio transcripts and any correspondence between agencies.
I am a New Zealand citizen residing in New Zealand. Please reply to this FYI address as there is public interest in this event.
Yours faithfully,
Gareth Watkins
