Radio New Zealand has recently highlighted a number of issues concerning Middlemore Hospital buildings including but not limited to leaky buildings, rot, asbestos, sewerage leaking behind walls and power supply problems.
What briefings did the Minister of Health receive concerning these issues from 2008 to October 2017? And what if any Cabinet Papers during this period referred to these issues?

You requested:
Radio New Zealand has recently highlighted a number of issues concerning
Middlemore Hospital buildings including but not limited to leaky
buildings, rot, asbestos, sewerage leaking behind walls and power supply
problems.
What briefings did the Minister of Health receive concerninag these issues
from 2008 to October 2017? And what if any Cabinet Papers during this
period referred to these issues?
Your request has been received and logged. You can expect a reply no
later than 2 May 2018 as required under the Official Information Act 1982.
Please note that a working day is defined in the Act as ‘any day of the
week other than a Saturday, Sunday, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day,
Labour Day, the Sovereigns birthday, Waitangi Day and a day in the period
commencing 25 December in any year and ending 15 January in the following
year.
If a large amount of information has been requested or if the Ministry
needs to consult in order to make a decision, we may need to extend this
date (this is provided for in section 15A of the Act). We will advise you
if such an extension is necessary.

I am writing to notify you that it is necessary to extend the period of
time available to respond to your request under section 15A of the
Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) as further time is needed to
research and collate the information. Furthermore, the information will
need to be reviewed by multiple parties in the Ministry of Health and
consultation will need to be undertaken with Counties Manukau District
Health Board before a decision can be made on the request.
You can now expect a response to your request on, or before Friday 1 June
2018.
You have the right, under section 28 of the Act, to ask the Ombudsman to
review my decision to extend the time available to respond to your
request.
