Toi Pōneke Residencies / Living Wage (WCC)
Nic Lane made this Official Information request to Wellington City Council
This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Nic Lane to read a recent response and update the status.
From: Nic Lane
Kia Ora WCC,
Are you please able to collate the rates of artist residency remuneration, against their requested hours of participation as described in the application process?
- Preference would be to receive this in .csv file.
Has Toi Pōneke supported any of the successful arts worker recipients to also apply for the ‘Arts and Culture Living Wage Fund’, as they undertook their residencies?
Thanks in advance,
Nic

Kia Ora Danika,
There feels like retractions in the information, in that you mention 'indicative hours' but these haven't actually been collated, or published here.
My understanding is that there were an increase in Toi Pōneke Residencies from 2017.
Can you please provide all:
residency listings;
application process steps;
residency contracts (with artist names redacted);
and any training/learning opportunities around equity and/or Living Wage for Wellington City Council Arts/Events/Toi Pōneke staff;
since 2017.
I believe Wellington City Council committed to the Living Wage in 2014.
Arts work is work. It is rewarding, but it's still work.
Yours sincerely,
Nic Lane
