You have asked “what is number of registered cars drivers in wellington
(based on registered vehicles)”. Could you please advise if you are
wanting to know the number of driver licences held in the Wellington
region, or the number of registered vehicles in the Wellington region?
Unfortunately, we are unable to determine how many driver licence holders
drive vehicles and where. 

 

We look forward to being able to assist once the scope of your request

Partially transferring the request you made under the Official Information

Information Act 1982 (the Act).

The information you have requested below is more closely connected with
the functions of Wellington City Council than with NZ Transport Agency
Waka Kotahi. Therefore, NZ Transport Agency is partially transferring your
request to Wellington City Council under section 14 of the Act.

I would like to enquire on the following ( in greater wellington):

what the length of roads are

what is the length of dedicated Cycle ways, what is the length of shared
Cycle ways what is the Length of pedestrian walkways

 

…. what are the numbers of cyclists (based on cycle counters)

 

The time limit for their response to you is 20 working days from 20
December 2024 so you can expect a response from Wellington City Council on
or before 11 February 2025.

Welling City Council (the Council) has received a partial request for
information from Waka Kotahi | NZ Transport Agency for the following

Information and Meetings Act 1987.

 

Please note, the period 20 December 2024 to 10 January 2025 inclusive is
not considered working days under the LGOIMA. The 20 working days allowed
for your response will be on hold over this period and will continue again
from 10 January 2025. As a result, we will respond as soon as possible but
no later than 10 February 2025.
