Kia ora James,
Thank you for your information request relating to current delegations by
Auckland Council under the Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA).
Please find attached the Regulatory committee policy, specifically section
7 which refers to sub-delegations.
With regard to RMA hearings, the Principal Planners have the authority to
appoint independent commissioners. At the last meeting of the Regulatory
committee they appointed independent commissioner to plan changes. If a
commissioner is not available for a hearing the chair has delegated
authority to make replacement appoints - please refer to relevant
Minutes available online.
