vehicles for sale - Response

 

1.     Further to your request for information dated 10 January 2019
regarding parked vehicles for sale, I am now able to provide you with
Napier City Council’s response.

 

2.     You requested:

 

Could you please confirm legality of vehicles parked on the roads for the
purpose of sale across Napier roads (except State highways).

 

3.     Response:

 

Council advises that parking vehicles for sale on the road is prohibited
under the Napier City Council Public Places Bylaw 2014. Please refer to
the extract below:

 

Napier City Council, Public Except with the prior permission of Council
Places Bylaw 2014, section 3.1 or an Authorised Officer a Person must not
‘Nuisances’ on any Public Place:

  (i)            Keep Vehicles, goods, or
articles of any kind, for the purpose of,
or in connection with, trade or business,
or performing work thereon, or of buying,
selling, exchanging or storing such
Vehicles, goods, articles or things
