Mōrena Pankaj,

Thank you for your question.

Local Authorities are able to make bylaws that restrict this type of
activity. In Central Hawke’s Bay, our Traffic Bylaw prohibits any vehicles
or trailers being displayed for sale on any piece of land owned or
controlled by the Council, and not being a road or part of a road (i.e. a
berm), including any parking place or transport station.

The information above is publicly available on our website. You can find a
copy of our Traffic Bylaw can be found on our Documents and Forms page
(https://www.chbdc.govt.nz/assets/Documen...)
on our website.

If the public believe that this type of activity is occurring then they
will need to make a complaint to Council so we can respond accordingly.

Ngā mihi,

Gina.
