Tena koe Human Rights Commission,
Noting the stated intent of the incoming government to implement the To Be Who I Am Report - what work is the commission currently doing in this regard?

From: Jem Traylen
Dear Human Rights Commission,
While I understand, through informal communications, that my request is being worked on, it concerns me that I did not receive a formal notice of acknowledgement contrary to expected practice (refer guidance from Office of the Ombudsman).
As an active member of the Rainbow community, I have noted certain recent developments at the HRC and am concerned that this might be further evidence of your systems not being up to scratch.
Please bring this correspondence to the attention of the Acting Chief Commissioner.
Yours faithfully,
Mx Jem Traylen

Tena koe Anneliese Boston,
With respect, you haven't answered my question.
I was not asking for a historical retrospective.
My request was quite clearly for information on how you are implementing the report under the Ardern Ministry.
The context being the Prime Minister's promise to implement the recommendations of the report.
I understand there will be a national Hui later this year to mark the tenth anniversary of the report.
I assume that you are or will be doing a lot more than that to support this new phase of implementation.
Please copy this letter to the Acting Chief Commissioner and Dr Blue, expressing my total disappointment that you did not take the time to even carefully read my request.
LEGAL WARNING
1. Failure to respond with alacrity to this follow up is likely to result in a complaint being lodged with the Ombudsman.
2. Should such a complaint be upheld then it is my policy to follow up with a Conduct complaint with the appropriate authorities.
Yours faithfullly,
Mx Jem Traylen
