Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA). Under the
Act, a response must be provided within 20 working days of receipt of a
request however, due to the Christmas holiday period set by the Office of
the Ombudsman, a response will be provided to you by 13 February 2018.
This is the maximum response time and we will endeavour to respond to you

We reference your correspondence of 28 December 2017 requesting CCTV
footage of an accident at the Symonds Street on-ramp pedestrian crossing,
on 24 November 2017 between 9.30am and 10.30am.

 

The Auckland Transport Operations Centre have reviewed our cameras and
advised that we do not hold any footage dating back to 24 November,
unfortunately by the date of your request all footage had already been
overwritten. Your request is therefore refused under section 17(e) of the
Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA), as
the footage requested does not exist. 

 

We are sorry to learn of your accident and regret that we are unable to
assist you further at this time. Should you believe that we have not
responded appropriately to your request, you have the right in accordance
with section 27(3) of the Local Government Official Information and
Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA) to make a complaint to the [1]Office of the
Ombudsman to seek an investigation and review of the decision.
