How many schools were hacked in the past year?

Alex Harris made this Official Information request to The Network for Learning Limited

The Network for Learning Limited did not have the information requested.

From: Alex Harris

Dear The Network for Learning Limited,

Yesterday Stuff reported that up to 36 schools had had their servers compromised last week ("Dozens of New Zealand schools hacked, access put up for online sale", Stuff, 14 July 2016). I would like to request the following information under the OIA:

* the number of schools on the N4L managed network which have had their servers compromised or otherwise been hacked in the past year. If possible, I'd like a monthly breakdown.

I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the website.

With regards to s12 of the OIA, I am an NZ citizen and in NZ.

Yours faithfully,

Alex Harris
