From: L Connolly

Dear AT Official Information (AT),

My request was for:

communication, minutes, studies or documented decisions with regards to discussions of delaying, cancelling or otherwise not proceeding with the shutdown of the Auckland passenger rail network from March 2026 onwards, including but not limited to the April 2026 scheduled full network closure.

What I requested was not for the statement you gave to your customer service representatives to pass to the public. In the email you included from Amber Carran-Fletcher's email the following in included: "Reprogramming these works could cause delay not only to the CRL but also other projects causing potentially significant increased costs, and delays to continual improvement in reliability and performance of the existing network."

The request is for the documentation behind this statement and this email indicates that it exists. What was the costs vs delays? Was this study completed? The documentation I requested would cover this. Am I to believe that the only time this was brought up was in one stakeholder meeting? Seems unlikely given there is an ongoing fuel crisis. What information was presented to support the position to the stakeholders then if it was so convincing it did not require additional discussion? Again, this is covered under the request.

Yours sincerely,

L Connolly
