Good afternoon Mr Palmer

We refer to your Official Information Act 1982 request dated 30 August 2015 for the following information:

"How many and where are signal panels and/or boxes still in use or provided for the purpose of signalling."

Currently there are five signal boxes/panels in operation on the rail network and these are located at Pukekohe, Plimmerton, Tawa, Wellington and Addington.

Under s28(3) of the Act, you have the right to seek an investigation and review of this response by way of complaint to the Ombudsman. Refer to www.ombudsman.govt.nz for more information.
