    Dear KiwiRail,
What progress has been made on the proposed double tracking between Treatham and Upper Hutt Railway Stations? Does the conceptual design work allow for a simultaneous arrival of northbound metro services to the dock platform while a service is departing from the main platform.
What upgrade works are currently being planned for the Wairarapa Line within the next ten years for the following areas;
 - Wellington Metro area
 - South of Masterton
 - North of Masterton
Yours faithfully,
Iain Palmer

Double tracking between Trentham and Upper Hutt railway stations was
 proposed in Rail Scenario 1 (RS1), a component of The Greater Wellington
 Regional Council’s Wellington Regional Rail Plan 2010 – 2035.

Does the conceptual design work allow for a simultaneous arrival of
 northbound metro services to the dock platform while a service is

A concept layout for double tracking has been designed. The design
 accommodates double tracking and allows for the proposed Hutt Valley
 traction overhead line system renewal to progress.
