Wairarapa Line Upgrades
Iain Palmer made this Official Information request to KiwiRail
The request was partially successful.
From: Iain Palmer
Dear KiwiRail,
What progress has been made on the proposed double tracking between Treatham and Upper Hutt Railway Stations? Does the conceptual design work allow for a simultaneous arrival of northbound metro services to the dock platform while a service is departing from the main platform.
What upgrade works are currently being planned for the Wairarapa Line within the next ten years for the following areas;
- Wellington Metro area
- South of Masterton
- North of Masterton
Yours faithfully,
Iain Palmer
