From: Timothy Parker
Tēna koe,
I am requesting the following information, produced during the (now defunct) LGWM programme:
1. The five maps created showing shortlisted programme options. Two of these maps were published in Stuff: https://www.stuff.co.nz/dominion-post/ne...
2. Concept or developed scheme designs of SH1 from the Terrace Tunnel to Cobham Drive, created for the four shortlisted LGWM programmes that went to consultation in late 2021. This includes designs for the Basin Reserve changes.
Yours faithfully,
Timothy Parker

Kia ora,
Thank you for the supplied information. I knowledge that part 1 of the request is satisfied in existing public information.
The existing public information for part 2 does not satisfy the request.
The maps on pages 14-16 of 'LGWM-Preferred-Programme-Options-Report-28-JunePost-Board' are summary overviews of the plans. I requested "Concept or developed scheme designs of SH1 from the Terrace Tunnel to Cobham Drive..." – concept or developed scheme designs include more detail than the graphics produced for public consultation. Such designs will include lane configuration plans, overview plans, potential landscaping, etc. This work will have been produced to inform (a) renders and graphics of the proposed changes used in public communications; and (b) microsimulation modelling.
Please let me know expected timeframes for supplying these concept or developed scheme designs of SH1 from the Terrace Tunnel to Cobham Drive.
Yours sincerely,
Timothy Parker

Thank you for your email of 29 April 2025 in relation to NZ Transport
Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA)’s response to your request made under the
Official Information Act 1982 (OIA-17555 refers).
Regarding part 2 of your request, we consider our response to align with
the wording of your request, particularly the bolded section below:
Concept or developed scheme designs of SH1 from the Terrace Tunnel to
Cobham Drive, created for the four shortlisted LGWM programmes that went
to consultation in late 2021.
The figures on page 16 of the LGWM Programme Preferred Option Report
illustrate the four programme options that were the subject of stakeholder
and public engagement from early November to mid-December 2021.
For your request concerning “…concept or developed scheme
designs….including lane configuration plans, overview plans, potential
landscaping, etc.,” NZTA is happy to process this as a new request under
the Act.
Please let us know if this approach works for you.
