Dear NZ Police,
Thank you for your response.
Clause A3 of the New Zealand Building Code you refer me to specifically identifies ‘police stations’ as importance level 4 structures ‘Buildings that are essential to post-disaster recovery’.
Also I note that I asked for the rating of each of the stations in NZ, though accept the inclusion of IL4 in the question given your answer regards importance levels might have limited the information you provided.
I think the best course here might be for me to clarify my request, with a clearer scope so that I obtain information relative to all 308 stations (your term which reinforces that they are indeed police stations and are therefore IL4) as was my intention.
Please provide a list of all police stations in NZ. On that list please identify whether the building has had a seismic assessment, the current seismic rating (%nbs), the IL used in the assessment, the type of assessment used to gain that rating, the date of the assessment.
Yours sincerely,
Frank
