Dear BUS: Assurance,
Your reply advises that the parking services definitions of place bear no resemblance to the formal WCC definitions of these places i.e. the 'suburb' definition. Unfortunately Claudia, this means we need to start over.
Given parking services 'customised' definition of place, here is the specific area of interest for the information that was requested i.e. clearly it will need to be an aggregation of data from different zones in order to create the 'suburban' total being requested.
Please ADD together ...
All streets in the Thorndon 'zone'
per https://wellington.govt.nz/-/media/parki...
PLUS these specific streets from the Clifton parking 'zone'
per https://wellington.govt.nz/-/media/parki...
Specific streets:
Portland Cres
Hawkestone St
Hill St
Selwyn Tce
PLUS these streets from the Kelburn parking 'zone'
Per https://wellington.govt.nz/-/media/parki...
All addresses from No.20 Glenmore St inclusive and northwards along that street toward Tinakori Rd. and,
Tinakori Rd
Collins Tce
Kilmister Ave
Patanga Cres
St Mary St
What do Parking attendants do if they encounter a vehicle which has not got a permit securely adhered to the windscreen of the approved vehicle?
How many instances have there been since the 28 September 2021 where the permit has not been securely adhered to the windscreen, yet the vehicle was subsequently been disovered to hold a valid permit? i.e. presumably the parking attendant had to make an information request in order to ascertain the status of the parked vehicle in the residents-only parking space to determine whether that vehicle had a valid permit. Presumably these transactions/inquiries are traceable (particularly being a regulatory regime). Some may not have resulted in a ticket; why not?
In the response provided on 21 October (yesterday) it is confirmed that it is the permit holder's responsibility to ENSURE that a valid permit is displayed on the windscreen.
If the valid permit is not displayed, is a ticket issued?
Within the area in question, since 28 September 2021, how many tickets have been issued for non-display of resident parking permits on windscreens? i.e. no permit DISPLAYED as required for public inspection/confirmation (tho' a permit exists).
Yours sincerely,
Richard Murcott
