Senior officer under investigation

J Devere made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police

The request was partially successful.

From: J Devere

Dear New Zealand Police,

Please provide detailed information regarding any Commissioned Officers that are presently suspended, stood down or on other performance- or behaviour-related non-standard duty (eg special leave). I request the same details for any similar cases since 1 January 2017.

I would like to know the Rank of the officers, what the matter is that they are (or were) being investigated for, and key dates including when the complaint(s) were received and when the officers ceased and recommenced their regular work routine.

If any cases have been investigated and closed please advise how they were resolved.

Yours faithfully,
Jim

Dear WRIGHT-MCCARTHY, Hannah,

Attn Superintendent Jackson

Dear Anna, thankyou for your reply.

As you suggested, I will narrow the scope of my request. Can you instead please provide the same details I previously sought, in respect of any staff member holding the rank of Assistant Commissioner or higher. The time frame and all other details I am seeking remain the same - I am just asking that you replace "Commissioned Officer" with "Assistant Commissioner or higher".

I trust that this will enable the information to be gathered more readily?

Yours sincerely,

J Devere
