I found that DHBs do prepare annual plan. However, I wonder each DHB is required to make strategic plan (in 5 to 10 years, for example). If possible, please kindly disentangle my query.

Dear Kathleen Smitheram,

Thank you very much for your quick response,
My intention is to ask Canterbury District Health Board for preparing strategic plan. Under the New Zealand Public Health and Disability Act 2000 (section 38), DHBs have to prepare plan for each year. I also found that some DHBs published their strategic plan (5-year plan) on their websites. However, I do not know whether preparing strategic is a statutory obligation. If possible, could you please explain more detail on this issue.
