Christchurch City Council
Dear Mr Allison,
Thank you for your email, received on February 20 2019. You requested the
following information, under the Local Government Official Information and
Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA):
Since beginning discussions with Lime e scooters and up to the 15th
February 2019 the following information:
1.Total CCC staff hours spent on the above.
2.Cost of these hours in staff time.
3.Any other costs incurred by the CCC in relation to the above, and
including recovering scooters, repairing damage caused by scooters.
4. Revenue earned by the CCC from Lime e scooters during the above time

Response
Staff have provided the following information:
1. The Christchurch City Council does not keep a record of staff
time in this way. Therefore we are refusing this part of your request
under the following section of the LGOIMA: 17(e) – the information
requested does not exist
2. The Christchurch City Council does not keep a record of staff
time in this way and subsequently the cost of the hours is not recorded.
Therefore we are refusing this part of your request under the following
section of the LGOIMA: 17(e) – the information requested does not exist
3. The Christchurch City Council does not keep a record of costs in
this way. However we would estimate that we have spent time on:
· Paving cleaning (testing) - approximately one hour
· Discussions, signage, and exploring how best to deal with the
scooters in spaces such as the Botanic Gardens - approximately three hours
· The Rangers as part of their day may spend between 15 minutes
and up to 1 hour talking to customers and users
4. Revenue during the trial period was $136 for a permit application
fee. The fee for permits going forward will be based on fleet size noting
that this is presently set at $172.50/m2 per year, which would equate to
$86.25 per year for each Lime scooter

Committee meeting of 13^th Feb
