Dear Auckland Council,

thank you for your reply

whilst 'have not issued permits for any dedicated, large-scale event specifically for drone flying' is the type of info I was seeking re events

the 'too hard to know' response for 'about 2,400 council film permits [that] have been issued and 6,000 event requests' is a situation that could be resolved in future - suggest you start recording whether drones will be in use

so, in summary - no idea about drone use, no events, and no idea about filming with drones

Yours sincerely,

Allen Reynolds

hello
I have ticked the 'They do not have the information' option for status, because there is no option for 'They do have the info, but are hiding it in the piling system'

They say a manual search of thousands of records is too onerous... read their reply...
