I refer to your email, which we received on 19 June 2019, requesting
information about the firearms audit report referenced in OurAuckland.

 

I am sorry that we will not be able to provide you the information on
17^th July 2019. We are currently still collating and processing
information for your request. Therefore, Auckland Council is extending the
time limit for responding to your request under section 14(1)(a) of the
Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA). We
will reply to your request by 31 July 2019. Please note this is a maximum
response time and we will endeavour to respond sooner.

 

The reasons for this extension are:

 

- Consultations necessary to make a decision on the request are ongoing
and a proper response to the request cannot reasonably be made within the
original time limit.

 

Please note you have the right to request a review of this extension from
the Ombudsman.
