I established Transparency NZ over eleven years ago in response to the corruption and injustice I witnessed on moving to this area - evidence of these allegations has been well documented now in the local newspaper and can be provided to anyone who thinks these comments are extreme or inaccurate in any way. My personal interest in this particular matter is that the partner of the person named in this report violently attacked me in my home in front of a number of witnesses, and was the catalyst for a very remarkable series of events which are certainly in the public interest, as is the question fo whether or not any of the $77,800 was ever repaid and if so, how much. It seems that if you're mates with the right people parliament will cover up your fraud, and collude with the Courts and the Police to ensure you get a slap on the wrist if you get caught. Michelle McGreal and her partner committed one of the biggest recent benefit frauds, but inexplicably, and atypically, there was no application to the Court for a reparation order, and the Ministry is covering up information regarding any repayments at the highest level - which is particularly interesting in light of the involvement of McGreal's partner Michael Francis Murphy in a prosecution for perverting the course of justice against me, Katherine Raue (a quick Google search will bring up further information - and EVIDENCE regarding this matter).

Here is the most recent response from the Ministry to the OIA request for ALL INFORMATION regarding McGreal's repayments, it was received on 2 November 2014:

"Dear Ms Raue,

The Ministry has reconsidered your request for information about Ms McGreal’s repayment of monies owed resulting from benefit fraud. We can confirm that the Ministry is recovering the monies owed by Ms McGreal as a result of the fraud.

THIS IS A PATHETIC AND INADEQUATE RESPONSE TO THIS REQUEST WHICH WAS FOR ALL INFORMATION REGARDING THE REPAYMENTS!!!

FURTHER COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN MADE TO THE OMBUDSMEN - WHO ARE CLEARLY COMPLICIT IN THIS BLATANT CORRUPTION AND TOTAL DISREGARD OF THE OFFICIAL INFORMATION ACT!!!
