Inquiry regarding complaints about 2018 and 2021 Maori Council committee elections, and Matthew Tukaki

Katherine Raue made this Official Information request to Ministry of Māori Development
The request was partially successful.
      From: Katherine Raue

    Dear Ministry of Māori Development,
I request all information held by the Ministry regarding numerous complaints to the Maori Council regarding the triennial elections in 2018 and 2021, all information regarding the subsequent inquiry into the complaints about the last two Maori Council elections, and all funding granted by the Ministry to the Maori Council since 2018.
I also request all information the Ministry holds regarding allegations of fraud and misrepresentation regarding Matthew Tukaki, and complaints made in regard to Matthew Tukaki transferring a contract with the Ministry of Social Development from the Maori Council to the National Maori Authority, as reported at this link - https://www.newsroom.co.nz/authority-of-...
I also request all information the Ministry holds regarding the matters reported on at this link and the complaints regarding Tukaki's unauthorised use of Maori Council funds and access to bank accounts. https://www.newsroom.co.nz/mori-council-...
This request is urgent due to the recently released proposed plan by the Maori Council to unlawfully rush through early elections for the Taitokerau Maori Council committees and the lack of information sharing by the Council, and the information that the Council is sharing in regard to both the imminent general elections and the proposed imminent Maori Council elections, and the indisputable evidence of serious corruption involving the Maori Council, and Matthew Tukaki and other so called Maori leaders and representatives who are simply government stooges.
I note that the only educational electoral campaign being run by the Maori Council is in regard to a campaign featuring the so-called "iconic" and "legendary" Maori Millionaire" encouraging youth to enrol to vote in the upcoming election, while there has been silence in regard to all the matters referred to above and in regard to educating our people and our youth in particular as to how the Maori Council works, what the purpose of the Council is, and why Maori should take an interest in their local Maori Council committee and local Maori Council representatives, and be included in communication, consultation and decision making. The Maori Council website is void of meaningful information, or updates regarding the inquiry in to the elections and the fraud.
Yours faithfully,
Katherine Raue

request. In accordance with section 15(1) and 15A of the Official
