- 2001 Meshblocks and 2017 Area Units
- 2006 Meshblocks and 2017 Area Units
- 2013 Meshblocks and 2017 Area Units
For research purposes I would like to obtain an additional Excel / txt file which provides a correspondence between:
- 1996 Meshblocks and 2017 Area Units
- 1991 Meshblocks and 2017 Area Units

Attached are the concordances files as requested for MB1991 to AU2017, and MB1996 to AU2017.
You will notice that some meshblocks are assigned to more than one area unit. This due to the meshblock having been split into two (or more) and assigned across different area units in a subsequent year.
For example:
MB1991 MB2017 AU2017 AU2017_Name
0044100 0044101 501613 Bay of Islands
0044100 0044102 501614 Kapiro
The following area units were not in the 1991 area unit classification and therefore are not assigned a meshblock in the 1991 concordance.
AU2017 AU2017_ NAME
666667 NZ Economic Zone
666668 Oceanic-Bounty Islands
666669 Bounty Islands
666670 Oceanic-Snares Islands
666671 Snares Island
