I am writing in regards to your request for information relating to the private use of fireworks.

Under section 14 of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987, (LGOIMA) Auckland Council is extending the time limit for responding to your request. We will reply to your request by Monday 9 April, however we will endeavor to respond as soon as possible.

The LGOIMA reason for this extension is:

Section 14(1)(b) - Consultations necessary to make a decision on the request are such that a proper response to the request cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit.
