Thank you for your email in which you stated your request has been delayed and you intend to raise the issue with your MP.
In order to clarify, your requests' are being processed within the legislative time frames. Given this particular request was received on 11 December 2017 the Council is required to provide a decision on your request by 30 January 2018. Whilst you are correct that 20 working days normally applies to requests, as a result of the Christmas period a different timeframe applies and takes into account the following days:
•Christmas Day (25/12/2017)
•Boxing Day (26/12/2017)
•Summer Holiday (27 December to 15 January)
•New Year's Day (1/01/2018)
•2nd January (2/01/2018)
Further information in respect of this period is available via the Office of the Ombudsman's website which can be accessed via the following link: http://www.ombudsman.parliament.nz/

WCC have been in contact with us to point out that we have calculated the due date incorrectly. The correct due date is 29 January 2018 (which you can confirm using the calculator on the Ombudsman's website: http://www.ombudsman.parliament.nz/).
