Dear M Taylor

I refer to your official information request received by Auckland
Transport on 21 June 2016 regarding the HOP ticketing system.

Part of the information you are seeking  requires further clarification as
it is overly broad and under Section 10(2) of the LGOIMA a request for
information must be specified with due particularity.   In accordance with
our obligation under Section 17(b) of the LGOIMA, we would ask that you
clarify your request.

In relation to the first part of the request:

1.       Monthly breakdown from introduction to present of the amounts
held on HOP cards and the monthly changes in these by funding method .
i.e. raw numbers of the monthly HOP stakeholder account movement disclosed
in section 7 of Finance Report at each Board Meeting including details of
cash tickets.

The clarification we are seeking is whether you are wanting:

Details of: -AT HOP Top-ups for the month starting 2012

-Period Passes on AT HOP Cards for the month

-Cash tickets sold
Less: Settlement to Operators
Modified by: Other reconciling adjustments (as part of the monthly
reconciliation)
Equals: Monthly change to the Bank Account

Or just the first part, ie. AT HOP Top-ups, Monthly passes and cash
tickets (the total amount of cash in)?

Please confirm which of the two options you were wanting information on
for question 1.   Please note, any clarification or amendment of a request
is considered to be a new request for the purpose of calculating the
maximum statutory timeframe for response—see section 13(7) of the Local
Government Official Information and Meetings Act.

Question 1 of your request will remain on hold and if the information is
not provided within 20 working days, this portion of your request will be
closed.

We trust this information has clarified the process however you have the
right in accordance with section 27(3) of the Local Government Official
Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA) to make a complaint to the
Office of the Ombudsman if you are not satisfied with our response.

Kind regards
