Thanks for your reply.
Rail vehicles I'm interested in are; Locomotives, Carriages, Wagons, multiple units and track machine (EMT fleet) along with the recovery cranes.
Only after an general idea to status, ie; stored, pending repair/overhaul, under repair/overhaul, sold, waiting scrap etc....

We are writing in response to your Official Information Act 1982 request
dated 1 January 2016 for the following information:
“What are the current rail vehicles (and status) at Hutt Workshops”
KiwiRail subsequently wrote to you on 12 January 2015 seeking
clarification on the scope of your request. On 15 January 2015 you
responded as follows:
“Rail vehicles I'm interested in are; Locomotives, Carriages, Wagons,
multiple units and track machine (EMT fleet) along with the recovery
cranes.
Only after an <sic> general idea to status, ie; stored, pending
repair/overhaul, under repair/overhaul, sold, waiting scrap etc....”

In addition, please note that 6 Ganz Mavag units are also being stored at
the Hutt Workshops on behalf of Greater Wellington Regional Council. The
Council has advised that they have all been sold to an overseas broker
(who has already taken delivery of 15 units) and will be shipped once the
remaining fleet (21 units) are retired from service. One unit will be
retained for heritage purposes.
Under section 28(3) of the Act, you have the right to seek an
investigation and review of this response by way of complaint to an
