b) Scheduled service hours by route and, if available, by route segment

5. Supporting Data and Definitions
a) The total annual patronage figure used by Auckland Transport.
b) Definitions used for:
• “service kilometres”
• “service hours”
• “boardings” and “alightings”
c) Any published or internal methodology for farebox recovery or subsidy calculation
6. Spatial Boundaries
If available, please provide or confirm:
• The GIS shapefile or dataset used by Auckland Transport for stop, station, and route locations
• Any mapping Auckland Transport uses to relate transport data to Auckland Council Local Board areas
Format
I request the data in machine-readable format (e.g. CSV, Excel, or GIS-compatible files such as shapefiles or GeoJSON).
Notes
• Please use the last full year data available for this request (2024-2025, or 2023-2024 if not). Aggregated data is sufficient; no personal or identifiable information is requested.
• If any part of this request is likely to be refused due to substantial collation or research, I am willing to refine the request to a subset of the data that is most readily available.
Please advise if clarification is required, or if AT holds the data in a form that can satisfy the purpose without providing the data requested.
Kind regards,
William Foster
