I refer to your request for information below received on the 21^st
October 2025.
Below are the responses to your questions as requested:
When did Invercargill City Council first become an Accredited Employer?
· 18 May 2023
Have they applied to fill any positions through the Accredited Employer
Visa process?
· Yes
If yes, how many have been applied for along with the positions and were
they accepted or declined?
· One – Business Innovation Lead - accepted
Please provide any additional information that may be related to the
Accredited Employer Visa process, ie, costs involved:
· Visa application fee of NZD $1,540 for the worker,
· NZD $735 job check fee for the employer,
· Two yearly employer accreditation fee, NZD $775
Reasons for being accredited:
· to enable us to employ migrants where we have skills shortages
Other
· Accreditation has been applied for successfully twice. Most
recently in April 2025.
