I am writing in reference to your request for information in accordance
with the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987.
It has become clear, now, that we will not meet the 20 working day
timeframe due to having to work across previous financial systems that are
very time consuming to retrieve data.
I apologise for this unavoidable delay and have alerted you as soon as I
became aware we were not going to make the LGOMIA timeframe. I understood
our team were working on this and hopeful that they would be able to
respond today at the latest- but that is now not possible. In accordance
with the Act I am advising of an extension.
This extension is in accordance with Section 14 of the LGOMIA.
In accordance with that section- the period of the extension is for one
week from the due date of the request- being to 17 March 2025. The reasons
for the extension is the nature of the information requested means only a
few staff are able to review the documents from our former financial
system and we are trying to balance getting this information for you
against other demands on our team as we prepare to head to consultation on
the Annual Plan.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of
this decision for the time extension. Information about how to make a
