Thank you for your email of 5 August 2025 requesting information regarding
communications between Tesla on the Clean Car Discount scheme under the
Official Information Act 1982 (the Act).

 

Can you please clarify as to whether you are interested in emails between
Tesla and NZTA as the administrator of the Clean Car Discount (i.e. about
the scheme itself) or if you are looking for all emails between NZTA and
Tesla (including applications on behalf of their clients)?

 

The applications on behalf of Tesla’s clients will include a lot of
private information which may be withheld to protect the privacy of
natural persons.

 

We look forward to being able to assist once the scope of your request
clarified. It would be great to hear back from you by COB Thursday 14
August 2025.
