Kia ora Steven,

Thank you for your request of 29 June 2025, to Fire and Emergency. To
assist in enabling us to provide information you are requesting, we would
like to clarify one aspect of your request and propose that a couple of
other aspects are refined, as how they are currently stand they may be
refused.

Please see below your requests for information and proposed refinements:

Question 2a: as it is no longer commercially sensitive, all correspondence
relating to the Angloco MAN and EmergencyOne Scania appliances

As this request currently stands it likely captures a significant quantity
of information. There have been many different individuals and teams who
have been involved in this work over a relatively long period of time.
Given this, researching, identifying, collating, and processing this
information for release would therefore be a significant undertaking.
Given this, it is likely we would refuse your request in full under
section 18(f) of the OIA, because the requested information cannot be made
available without substantial collation and research.

Proposed refinement: We therefore propose you refine your request to any
specific questions you have regarding the Angloco MAN and EmergencyOne
Scania appliances.

Question 3 a cascade list, or any correspondence of, the new Type 5
Medium, Type 5 Large and Type 6 Bronto appliances

For same reason as above, it is likely that we would refuse this aspect of
your request under 18(f) because the requested information cannot be made
available without substantial collation and research.

Proposed refinement: Correspondence regarding the most recent proposal
regarding the new Type 5 Medium, Type 5 Large and Type 6 Bronto
appliances.

Question 4 an updated Station Tier List, or the new/renamed version of
this document

Clarification: Could you please clarify whether you are referring to the
updated appliance tier list?

If you can get back to us as soon as possible about the above refinements
and clarifications, that would be appreciated.

Ngā mihi,

Information Requests Team
