Fire Appliance Cascade
Steven made this Official Information request to Fire and Emergency New Zealand
The request was successful.
From: Steven
Dear Fire and Emergency New Zealand,
Please provide the updated fleet fire appliance cascade for 2023. The previously supplied one is still the most recent, however it is now outdated and due to be reviewed with appliances coming into service which are NOT included on the one provided previously dated '22 June 2021'.
This cascade should outline all Type 1, 2, 3, 4x4 trucks and tankers, as well as any other specialist trucks. If there is no new one, could the most recent cascade plan be provided as I am aware there are changes made to the '22 June 2021' plan.
In a separate document, could you please supply a full list of trucks which are either reaching or have reached their end of life service.
In a separate document again, could you supply a full list of all appliances/trucks disposed or going to be disposed of between January 2022 and February 2023.
I am happy for this to be extended if required, and give pre-approval given the data being requested.
Yours faithfully,
Steven

Dear Official Information Requests,
I refer to the reply you used “target asset life dates”.
Please proceed with the request using this term, I am happy for the extension of the OIA. The “target asset life dates” should include when an appliance is expected to be replaced.
Would you please also supply any information regarding the new “Type 3 Scania Appliances” being built by EmergencyOne and Angloco UK, around the trial locations and dates these will enter service.
Would you also supply information regarding the Fire and Emergency NZ “MAN” appliances that have been built by Angloco and SEM Australia which are “trialling” in New Zealand. Please provide the same information as the scania request above.
Yours sincerely,
Steven

Hi Steven,
I am contacting you regarding your request for information about the type
3 fleet. Can you please clarify what you mean but ‘enter service.’ Are
you referring to when the trial appliances will enter service or when the
first order of ‘real appliances’ will enter service?
Thanks,
