Waiheke island work function cost
E Parks made this Official Information request to Accident Compensation Corporation
The request was refused by Accident Compensation Corporation.
      From: E Parks

    Dear Accident Compensation Corporation,
In the news media recently concerning behaviour of Renata Blair, a reference has been made to a work function of waiheke island.
Did ACC pay for this function? If so, how much did ACC pay for it. How many ACC staff attended?
If the full cost was not covered by ACC were attendees costs of attendance reimbursed to them (ferry, flights, accommodation, etc). If so, how much did that cost.
Were partners paid for, if so how much did that cost.
Yours faithfully,
E.Parks

    Dear Government Services,
I’m surprised that you declined to provide this information quoting protection of confidentiality. If the behaviour shown at the function was deemed to be work related, then information about the function itself must be public information about use of public funds. If you decide to not provide the information again using this reason, can you please advise which part of my request relates to information provided on a confidential basis.
Before I make a complaint to the ombudsman that this cannot possibly be information protected by an obligation of confidence can you please reconsider this decision.
Yours sincerely,
E Parks
