Your Official Information Act request, reference: GOV-038797
Thank you for your request of 15 March 2025, asking for the following information under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act):
In the news media recently concerning behaviour of Renata Blair, a reference has been made to
a work function of waiheke island.
1. Did ACC pay for this function? If so, how much did ACC pay for it. How many ACC staff
attended?
2. If the full cost was not covered by ACC were attendees costs of attendance reimbursed to them
(ferry, flights, accommodation, etc). If so, how much did that cost.
3. Were partners paid for, if so how much did that cost.
Our response
We are refusing to provide the information requested as it is subject to an obligation of confidence and
the release of the information would be likely to prejudice the future supply of similar information and,
would be likely to otherwise damage the public interest. This decision has been made under sections
9(2)(ba)(i) and 9(2)(ba)(ii) of the Act.
In doing so, we have considered the public interest in making the information available and determined
it does not outweigh the interests being protected.
