Dear New Zealand Police,
I am requesting the following information under the Official Information Act 1982 regarding the issuance of traffic infringements in the Christchurch area:
1. The locations in Christchurch where the most infringements have been issued for:
a) Exceeding the posted speed limit
b) Failing to comply with red traffic signals
c) Unlawfully travelling in special vehicle lanes (bus lanes, transit lanes, cycleways, or shared paths)
d) Unlawfully parking in special vehicle lanes (as above)
2. Any analysis or reports that identify enforcement "hotspots" or areas where NZ Police or automated enforcement systems have issued, in their opinion, a "high volume" of infringements.
3. The total number of infringements issued for each of the above offences in Christchurch, broken down by suburb (or other relevant geographic area) for the past 12 months
If any of the requested information is already publicly available through an open data portal, I would appreciate being directed to the relevant resource. Please feel free to provide the information in any format that is easiest to compile.
