Incorporate Societies Constitutions
Alan Thompson made this Official Information request to Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment
The request was successful.
      From: Alan Thompson

Dear Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment,
Some weeks ago (6 Dec 2023) I lodged a query with the Client Services desk of the Companies Office. My query was passed across the desk to the unit that looks after Incorporated Societies. In spite of assurances that I would be contacted within 3 working days and further phones calls querying why there was no response, I still have not had my question answered.
I now seek under the provisions of the Official Information Act the following information that your Client Services desk seem to be unable or unwilling to provide.
Please advise and/or provide the documentation that sets out the strategy and procedures that you will follow to review and check that each of the 23,000 Incorporated Societies constitutions comply with the new 2022 Act when they lodge them to re-register prior to the 2026 date.
Yours faithfully,
Alan Thompson
