Dear Fire and Emergency New Zealand,

In December 2023 I requested a copy of any reports or other written advice that resulted from the Operational Review of the Tangoio fire. This incident was a significant wildfire that occurred in a Hawkes Bay forestry block in January 2020.

In spite of this fire occurring 4 years ago, in January 2024 you advised that the Tangoio fire Operational Report had not yet been finalised. You further advised that this report will be completed and published on the FENZ website no later than 29 February 2024.

As at 5 March 2024 this report has not been published on the FENZ website. An email query to your office as to the report has not been answered.

Under the provisions of the Official Information Act, I request for a 3rd time a copy of the Tangoio Fire Operational Report.
