follows.

 

“Please provide a copy of the "Assessment (Coursework, Tests and
Examinations) Policy" (the current version of which is accessible at this

) as was active in each year between 2012 and 2022 inclusive.

When I say "Assessment (Coursework, Tests and Examinations) Policy", I
include all precursor policies that predate that policy but which fulfill
the same aim of the policy (ensuring that the processes of assessment in
undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses align with the University’s
principles of assessment, and ensuring that grading is consistently
applied across the University), even if they were previously known by
different names.”

 

The documents requested are attached and listed below. We have also
included documents for 2023.

 

From 2012-2018 assessment policy was specified in the Instructions to
Examiners and Assessors, which was updated annually:

 1. 2012 Instructions to Examiners and Assessors
 2. 2013 Instructions to Examiners and Assessors
 3. 2014 Instructions to Examiners and Assessors
 4. 2015 Instructions to Examiners and Assessors
 5. 2016 Instructions to Examiners and Assessors
 6. 2017 Instructions to Examiners and Assessors
 7. 2018 Instructions to Examiners and Assessors

 

From 2019 assessment policy was specified in two companion policy
documents: a Policy and a Procedures:

 8. Assessment (Coursework, Tests and Examinations) Policy Council
approved FINAL 11.12.18
 9. Assessment (Coursework, Tests and Examinations) Procedures FINAL
council approved 19.2.19

 

Updated Procedures for 2021:

10. Assessment Procedures FINAL Council approved 10.11.20

 

Amendments to the Policy and Procedures were made for 2022 and 2023
respectively by two Omnibus Amendment Statutes:
